Healthcare Aide Position – Private Home Care
Location: NW Calgary, AB
Employment Type: full-Time

$20 hourly
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Aide to support a senior woman living with multiple sclerosis. The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality, respectful care in a home setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, and hygiene
Provide support with physiotherapy exercises as directed
Apply compression socks and assist with lung volume recruitment (LVR)
Monitor and record blood pressure
Administer medications accurately
Perform safe patient transfers using a lift
Prepare nutritious meals
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment
Manage laundry and light housekeeping tasks
Use a computer for basic tasks and care documentation
Required Qualities and Skills:
Strong time management and organizational skills
Excellent communication abilities
Positive attitude and a commitment to providing person-centered care
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
Comfortable working in a home with dogs
Qualifications and Requirements:
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
Up-to-date immunizations, including influenza vaccine
Valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract (ability to drive client’s vehicle)
Own reliable vehicle for transportation
