Availability: As soon as possible

Education: Highschool Diploma or equivalent

 

Mandatory Qualifications:

Valid Construction Safety Officer Training
Valid Trade Safety Coordinator Training
Valid OFA 3 Ticket
Experience: 1 year

Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties may include but are not limited to the following items:

 

Inspect construction sites to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained
Inspect existing buildings to identify and report on structural defects, fire hazards and other threats to safety.
Plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate workplace activities to ensure that workers comply with company policies and government safety regulations.
Practice and maintain the highest standards of professionalism when interacting with clients and fellow employees.
Inspect sites to ensure equipment, materials and production processes do not present a safety hazard to employees or the general public.
Keep records of all incidents and maintain detailed and accurate documentation.
Ensure safe work practices are followed on site.
Provide site orientations to new workers/visitors.
Conduct Toolbox and site safety meetings for site staff.
Take appropriate action to correct unsafe acts or conditions.
Conduct site-specific health and safety orientations for all new site workers and visitors.
Facilitate and participate in site inspections, documentation and developing corrective action as required.
Administer First Aid and manage first aid documentation, as necessary.
Educate workers on safety standards and best practices.
Language: English

 

Wage: $30 hourly

 

Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Attention to detail, work under pressure, combination sitting, standing, walking and ability to distinguish between colors.
