Job Duties:

  1. Analyze the portfolio and respective credit risk strategies to optimize risk and reward
  2. Collaborate to recommend improvements and quantify the benefits
  3. Support with updating and validating changes to the risk system
  4. Ensure successful completion of the Company’s certification process on controls over financial reporting
  5. Initiate and direct all effectiveness reviews (including designating internal and external auditors)
  6. Act as liaison between the company and its clients
  7. Comply with Company’s policies and procedures/ standards
  8. Review payment transactions to ensure compliance with established processes and internal controls
  9. Maintained and implementation of Company’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
  10. Assess money laundering risks periodically and develop risk mitigation measures for high-risk activities
  11. Conduct enhanced due diligence for clients rated as high risk and performing ongoing monitoring for identifiable transactions
  12. Reporting of transactions and activity (e.g., large, suspicious, etc.) to FINTRAC as required under prescribed guidelines
  13. Making a positive contribution as demonstrated by making suggestions for improvement and continuing to learn new skills, procedures, and processes
  14. Responsible for analyzing payment transaction data provided by Businesses during assessment
  15. Implement education and training to ensure employees have adequate awareness and understanding of internal control standards
  16. Collaborate and communicate efficiently with other department to achieve business objectives

Job Requirement

  1. Post-Secondary Degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field preferred (Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research)
  2. Demonstrated experience working with a programming language is preferred (SAS, SQL, VBA)
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to both technical and non-technical audiences
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment by being organized and driven
  5. Attention to detail with personal accountability to ensure accuracy of produced results
  6. Ability to work independently and across teams to resolve problems
  7. Experience assessing internal and external risk factors, developing internal controls to close identified gaps as they directly align to the specific responsibilities of this position
