Overview
Looking for a child-minder for a family in Orangeville, Ontario. Our family will need care for our 2 children (one will be close to 2 years, and the other is currently 5) starting in June 2023. Transport to extra curricular, meal preparation, laundry, errands and household cleaning are needed. Our perfect applicant would have some relevant prior experience (stronger preference to upwards of 5 years or more caring for multiple children) but it is not required to be hired. Live in or daycare in home are both options.
DESCRIPTION
Supervise and care for children in employer’s or own residence
Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
Plan, prepare and serve meals for children/family and perform other housekeeping duties
Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Instruct children in personal hygiene
Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
Take children to and from school and appointments
May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.
Be available for weeknights and at times weekends, and possible overnight care.
