Overview
Santouka Kamei Canada Food Ltd. (dba Hokkaido Ramen Santouka) is seeking two Head Cooks for three locations.
Permanent, full-time (30-40 hours per week), $20.00 per hour. Plus extended health and bonus are available based on sales performance.
Standard 6-8-hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 8am and 12am as required.
Locations:
Shifts may be scheduled at any of the following locations, as needed:
1. Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, 1690 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC, V6G 1C7;
2. Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, 558 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC, V5Z 1E9;
3. Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, Unit 110-8010 Saba Road, Richmond, BC, V6Y 4B2
Duties:
– Cook everything on the menu;
– Create ramen soup bases;
– Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness;
– Maintain a clean kitchen;
– Supervise all food preparation;
– Provide training to new kitchen staff on matters of hygiene, Japanese ramen techniques, and other matters.
Qualifications:
– Minimum 3 years of previous experience as a commercial cook;
– Previous experience with Japanese Ramen cuisine is an asset;
– English language ability required;
– Japanese language ability is an asset.
