Overview
Smithwood Builders Inc seeks a skilled and experienced Carpenter Lead Hand to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in residential carpentry, with a focus on high-end custom homes. The Carpenter Lead Hand will be responsible for leading a team and managing job sites, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship are maintained.

Skills Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with carpentry in the residential sector, specifically working on high-end single-family custom homes
- Experience leading a team and managing a job site with trades/suppliers
- Education: Trade certification in carpentry
- Language of Work: English
Job Duties:
- Analyse blueprints, drawings, and sketches
- Determine project specifications and material calculations
- Create layouts adhering to building codes
- Work with various materials (wood, substitutes, lightweight steel)
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join parts
- Construct foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems Install and adjust trim elements (doors, stairs, moulding, hardware)
- Maintain, repair, and renovate wooden structures
- Supervise apprentices and construction workers
- Potentially provide cost estimates for clients
Wage: $39-43 per hour
