Food Counter Attendant – NOC 65201

Job Duties

– Assemble and package grab-and-go food items like sandwiches, salads etc
– Serve customers at hot counter and cold case
– Prepare, heat, finish, portion and package simple food items
– Take customers’ orders
– Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
– Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and keep records updated
– Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
– Wash and peel vegetables and fruit to prepare for use in sandwiches, salads, vegetable
cups, fruit platters etc
– Date checking product and rotating to ensure quality
– Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas,
appliances and equipment
– Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans by hand
– Place dishes in storage area
– Handle and store cleaning products
– Replenish condiments and other supplies at serving areas
– Perform other duties such as scraping and stacking dishes, and running errands.
– Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers
– Sweep and mop floors

Terms of Employment:  Permanent position, 40 hours per week
Language of Work:  English
Wage: $20.00 CAD per hour
Skills Requirements:  No degree, certificate or diploma
Training:  On-the-job training is provided
