Since its inception, our retail service establishment has committed to providing outstanding customer service and a pleasant shopping experience. We are now looking for an experienced Store Supervisor to oversee our cashier team. This full-time permanent role requires 40 hours of work per week. The starting wage is $25.00 per hour, with eligibility for overtime at 1.5 times the hourly wage after 44 hours per week, as required by law.

Position Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales associates, cashiers, and other staff.
Assign duties and prepare work schedules for staff.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Authorize payments by cheque and the return of merchandise.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, order merchandise, and manage stock.
Prepare sales reports, track sales metrics, and provide performance feedback to staff.
Hire and train or arrange for training of staff.
Oversee the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures.
Ensure the store is well-maintained, clean, and visually appealing, including managing store displays and signage.
Implement and enforce store policies and procedures.
Collaborate with the store manager and other supervisors to develop and implement marketing strategies.
Manage cash operations, including cash register reconciliation and payroll administration.
Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
Supervise and coordinate activities of workers.
Oversee payroll administration.
