WANTED:  KITCHEN HELPER

Employer: Sushi Ginza Japanese Restaurant Inc.

Location:  #276, 10816 Macleod Tr. S.  Calgary, AB T2J 5N8

Salary:  $15.00 hourly / 40 hours per Week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment / Full time; may work during day, early morning, evening, morning, night, shift, weekend

Start date: as soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience:  no experience needed; we will train

Work setting: Urban area

Assist in all kitchen work which includes:

·         Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit

·         Wash and cut meat in accordance to chef’s and cook’s instructions

·         Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables

·         Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs

·         Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware and place dishes in storage area

·         Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas

·         May sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand

·         Keep records of the quantities of food used

·         Stock refrigerators and salad bars

·         Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs

·         Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment

·         Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas

·         Remove kitchen garbage and trash

·         Sharpen kitchen knives

·         Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors

Equipment and machinery experience in using conventional oven, deep fryer, food dispensers, grill is a bonus but not necessary because we will train

Security and safety: basic criminal record check
