Job Summary:

This role combines essential construction worker duties with team leadership responsibilities to support project goals and a collaborative team environment. The Construction worker will primarily assist in various construction tasks and provide occasional leadership to ensure smooth operations.

Job Duties:

· Load and unload construction materials and transport them to designated work areas.

· Mix, pour, and spread materials like concrete and asphalt for floor preparation and finishing.

· Support flooring installers by applying appropriate finishes to surfaces.

· Assist with leveling surface areas to prepare for installation.

· Help equipment operators move and set up equipment and provide general support as needed.

· Asist in rock drilling and blasting activities on construction sites.

· Clear rubble and debris, keeping the work area clean and free from obstructions.

· Ensure a dust-free and organized work surface, ready for the next phase of construction.

· Provide leadership by fostering teamwork, assigning tasks based on team members’ strengths, and promoting open communication.

· Support project goals through efficient resource management and clear goal-setting with the team.

· Guide problem-solving and decision-making within the team, encouraging collaboration and constructive feedback.

· Mentor new team members, ensuring smooth onboarding and alignment with project objectives.

· Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Working Conditions:

· Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.

· Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.

· Repetitive task.

· Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
