Job Duties:

 

Job Duties for Floor Covering Installer:

 

·       Assess, measure, and mark surfaces to prepare for covering installation.

·       Measure, cut, and apply resilient sheet goods using adhesive, heat welding, rollers, and various hand tools.

·       Utilize hand or machine stitcher, seaming iron, bonding tape, or other materials to measure, cut, and install flooring.

·       Measure, cut, and apply resilient floor covering using adhesive, rollers, and various hand tools.

·       Install hardwood floors, including strip, block, or plank floors, using appropriate adhesives, staples, nails, or other methods.

·       Inspect and rectify damaged floor coverings as needed.

·       Attention to detail and ability to maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.

 

Working Conditions:

• Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.

• Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.

• Repetitive task.

• Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
