Job Overview:

As a Flooring Foreman, you will oversee and participate in the installation of various types of flooring, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards. You will be responsible for managing a team of installers, coordinating with clients and other stakeholders, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Supervise and lead a team of flooring installers, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.

·       Perform installation of various types of flooring materials, including but not limited to hardwood, laminate, vinyl, carpet, and tile.

·       Conduct site inspections to assess and prepare for installation projects.

·       Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout and installation procedures.

·       Coordinate with clients, project managers, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.

·       Maintain and enforce safety protocols and procedures on job sites.

·       Train and mentor junior installers, providing guidance and support as needed.

·       Manage project materials and inventory, ensuring adequate supplies are available.

·       Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation.

 

Qualifications:

ü  Proven experience as a Flooring Foreman or similar supervisory role in flooring installation.

ü  Extensive knowledge of various flooring materials and installation techniques.

ü  Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.

ü  Strong leadership and team management skills.

ü  Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

ü  High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

ü  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

ü  Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.

 

Working Conditions:

• Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.

• Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.

• Repetitive task.

• Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
