Overview
Syu Japanese Cuisine & Sushi Bar is seeking a Chef for our Richmond location.
Permanent, full-time; 30-40 hours per week; $33.65 per hour. Plus bonus available based on sales performance.
Standard 6-8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 11:30am and 9pm as required.
Duties:
– Cooking everything on the menu;
– Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness;
– Supervise all food preparation;
– Provide training to new kitchen staff on matters of hygiene, Japanese cuisine techniques, and other matters.
Qualifications:
– Minimum 1 year managing entire kitchen, hiring and leading staff;
– Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a commercial cook;
– Formal training in culinary arts is an asset;
– Japanese language ability is an asset;
– English language ability required.
