Position: Roofer (permanent position) (NOC 73110)
Start date: April 01, 2023
Duties:
· Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel;
· Install, repair or replace shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings;
· Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools;
· Supervise other workers;
· Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications; Instruct apprentices;
· Estimate costs and materials.
Hours: 40 hrs per week, C$ 27.50 per hour
Skills requirements:
= no formal educational requirements
= 1-2 years of relevant work experience in this position (Experience with Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel; Install, repair or replace shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings; Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools)
= ability to work in different locations in GTA and Ontario
= ability to supervise, co-ordinate and schedule workers’ activities
= ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines, different weather conditions, at height, large workload, physically demanding, good had-eye coordination is required
