Long Haul Truck Driver

Transgold Freightways Ltd is located is Surrey and looking to hire 4 long haul truck drivers as soon as possible.

Duties:
1. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, weighing over 4600 kg
with three or more axles, to transport goods and material to destinations.
2. Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as condition of equipment, loading
and unloading, and safety and security of cargo.
3. Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as
tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
4. Perform emergency roadside repairs.
5. Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo
on international routes.
6. Record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other
information in logbook or on on-board computer.
7. Communicate with dispatcher and other drivers using two-way radio,
cellular telephone, and on-board computer.
8. May drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
9. May required to complete forms and legal documentation according to
rules and regulations.
10. Other duties as requested by management.

Location: Will be Travelling all over Canada

Salary: $27.50/hr for 60Hrs and will be paying overtime of $40.50/hr after 8 hours per day.

1. Secondary school education required
2. We will provide on-job training however experience would be an asset
3. Should be eligible for Class 1 Drivers License
4. Basic English required.
5. Must have willingness to travel for longer time period
