Trattoria Burnaby is looking for 2 permanent full time (min 40 hours per week) Chef de Parties.

Job Overview:
•         Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
•         Estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs
•         Requisition food and kitchen supplies prepare and cook food on a regular basis
•         Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
•         Assist to recruit, hire and train staff
•         Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, for special guests and functions
•         Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
•         Supervise kitchen workers
•         Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
•         May plan menus and requisition food and kitchen supplies

Key Requirement:
min 2 years’ experience in similar position and environment
ability to communicate in English

culinary certification an asset
Food Safe certification or equivalent (within 1 week of employment)

Extended health and dental after 3 months of employment
Wage – $22.00/hr
