Working Location: Various location within Lower Mainland

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Compensation: $23.00 per hour

Hours of Work: 30~40 hours/week

Vacant: 2

Benefits: 10 days of paid vacation or 4% of gross salary

 

Job Duties

– Operate machines that mix cement, asphalt, concrete etc., or stir the mixture by hand, using the shovel.

– Help carpenters, forming carpenters, cement finishers and other skilled labour as directed when necessary.

-Clean up construction sites, chemical spills, and other contaminants, and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials.

-Weigh and measure specified amounts of chemicals, cementitious material according to mixing instruction.

-Assist in repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged sections of cement.

-Maintain a safe and clean site, handle materials and store them properly, pick up and remove all tools and equipment when not in use, and secure the job site daily.

 

Job Requirements

– Education: No formal education is required.

– Experience: Experience as a general construction helper is an asset. Job training will be available on the site.
