Overview
Vard Electro Canada Inc. is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer/Specialist to join their team.
Department: Engineering
Immediate Superior: Engineering Manager
Purpose and Scope: Junior Systems Engineer/Specialist with 2 to 3 years of Engineering experience in Systems Engineering, System Integration or Engineering Project Management.
Salary: $83,000 per year.

Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
Duties:
– Support Project team in upkeep of the technical configuration by means of ensuring latest and updated technical documents being made available on internal documentation record keeping software with latest and correct revisions;
– Performing necessary data analysis and support technical report writing;
– Update technical drawings using AutoCAD under supervision of Project Engineer or Senior Engineer;
– Review Vendor Furnished documents to ensure alignment with the project requirements;
– Undertake System Requirement Analysis and ensure proper mapping of technical specifications, test protocols to the system requirements;
– Follow Systems Engineering principles to ensure traceability and update to Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), throughout Project execution phase;
– Support updating necessary data for Integrated Logistics System;
– Support engineering manager in keeping Engineering Tasks Lists up to date, updating training records, support developing technical presentation, plan technical trainings and updating skill set matrix;
– Support Bids and Proposal team in technical proposal writing;
– Support Project Manager to maintain daily tracking, project documentation and progress for active projects.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics Engineering or Applied Science or equivalent, with 2 to 3 years of experience in electrical engineering design. The individual is expected to possess good analytical skills, electrical system design aptitude, excellent AutoCAD skills, and good technical report writing skills;
– Recognized diploma/certificate or equivalent in electrical automation, electrical / mechanical engineering or similar;
– Required computer skills will be minimum AutoCAD and standard MS Office applications;
– Engineering will be done in a computer-based engineering tool, and systematic thinking and accuracy is important. Generally, there is a high requirement for the accuracy of the work delivered. Independence and the ability to show good cooperation is very important, as well as focus on the reduction and streamlining of time spent;
– Meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian Government security clearance.
