Title of Position: Patient Care Aide
Type of Position: Permanent, full time

Job Duties:
· Supervise patients’ exercise routines
· Bathe, dress and groom patients
· Administer first aid in emergency situations
· Accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
· Serve meal trays and feed patients
· Make beds and maintain patients’ room
· Maintain inventory of supplies
Skills Required:
· 1 year paid full time experience as a caregiver for the elderly
· A 6 month in class caregiver training course is considered an asset
· Excellent oral communication in English
Education & Credentials:
· Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
· First Aid Certificate
· CPR Certificate
· Health Care Aide Certificate is considered an asset
· Food Safety Certificate is considered an asset
· Criminal Record Check

Wage & Hours: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour (To be negotiated), 30 – 40 hours per week plus overtime, when necessary, two days off per week. Shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours.
