Job Title: Concrete Finisher

Vacancy: 1 position

Job Type: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

– Inspect the setup of formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcements to confirm alignment with design specifications, and oversee the precise pouring of concrete into designated areas.

– Address surface irregularities by filling depressions and removing raised sections, ensuring a smooth finish on newly poured concrete.

– Utilize a mechanical vibrator to consolidate the concrete, enhancing its density and structural integrity.

– Adjust and smooth the upper layer of concrete using leveling tools to meet required grade and depth dimensions.

– Achieve the specified surface texture or polish on concrete using manual and powered finishing tools.

– Secure anchor bolts, metal plates, thresholds, and other components in freshly poured concrete, ensuring proper positioning and stability.

– Apply protective agents to harden and seal the concrete surface, supporting its durability and moisture resistance.

– Perform waterproofing, damp-proofing, and refurbishment tasks to protect and enhance the longevity of concrete structures.

– Restore, resurface, or replace sections of concrete floors, walls, roads, and other areas that show wear, damage, or degradation.

Requirements:

– Completion of secondary school is usually required.

– Experience is an asset; Completion of a two-to four-year apprenticeship program, or over three years of relevant work experience, will be given priority.
