Overview

Wheel Mart Canada Wholesale Inc., a subsidiary of the Wah Hung Group Inc., a major importer and wholesaler of automotive wheels and tires, is seeking an Assistant Manager for their Richmond, B.C operations.

Permanent; Full-time; $42 per hour; 35 hours per week. Regular working hours: Monday-Friday, from 9:00AM to 5:00PM (one hour lunch break).

Duties:
• Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of company’s establishments in the wholesale and retail sales of tires, wheels and accessories;
• Support managers in organizing, planning and implementing strategy;
• Manage, supervise and support the personnel and assign duties;
• Organize daily activities and ensure schedules and objectives are met;
• Monitor and plan operating costs and budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues;
• Manage recruitment process, including the hiring, training, development and retention of staff;
• Studying market trends to assist the managers in determining consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors’ operations on sales;
• Assisting in negotiating and maintaining relationships with vendors in China when necessary to procure merchandise for resale.

Requirements:

• College diploma or degree in business administration or a related field;
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in wholesale sales, management or in a related field;
• English language ability is required;
• Solid knowledge of office procedures, financial and customer service principles;
• Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Significant knowledge in recruiting and performance evaluations is an asset.
