Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Safe Food Handling certificate

Work setting: Restaurant

Tasks

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, cooking and handling of food, Order supplies and equipment, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, Clean kitchen and work areas.

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Standing for extended periods

Salary: $17.00 per  hr
