Wage: $20 per hour

Hours : 30 hours per week

Work location: Burnaby, BC

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Caregiver to provide full-time support and care for our two children. The ideal candidate should have a genuine passion for nurturing children, ensuring their well-being, and fostering their development within the comfort of our home.

Responsibilities:

· Take full responsibility for the household when parents are away

· Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for the children

· Handle light housekeeping and cleaning tasks

· Shop for groceries and household necessities

· Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment at home

· Instruct the children in personal hygiene and encourage independence

· Nurture the children’s emotional well-being and encourage social development.

· Provide educational activities such as games, reading, and outings

· Transport children to and from school and appointments

· Ensure discipline is maintained according to parental guidelines

· Update parents on their children’s performance, development, and any issues, especially those related to socializing, learning, or physical activities.

· Perform other childcare support duties as requested by the parents.

Qualifications:

· At least completion of secondary school

· Taking a training program in caregiver or a related field is an asset

· At least 6 months of experience as a child caregiver, nanny, or similar role

· Responsible, nurturing, and able to work independently

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to create a positive and engaging environment for the children

· Criminal record check and reference are required

· Healthy, enthusiastic, highly energetic and dedicated
