Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nanny to provide exceptional care for children in a safe and engaging environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess the skills necessary to support their development through educational activities, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. This role requires a compassionate individual who can create a positive atmosphere for children while ensuring their safety and well-being.
This position is full-time, permanent; 40 hours per week; $23.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
– Supervise and engage with children in various activities, including playtime, educational games, and outdoor activities.
– Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children, accommodating any dietary restrictions or preferences.
– Assist with homework and educational tasks to promote learning and development.
– Maintain a clean and organized environment by tidying up after activities, cleaning play areas, and managing laundry as needed.
– Provide emotional support and guidance to children, fostering a nurturing relationship.
– Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s daily activities, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise.
– Ensure the safety of the children at all times by adhering to safety protocols during outings or playtime
Qualifications:
– Proven experience working with children in a babysitting or caregiving capacity is preferred.
– Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare healthy meals for children.
– Excellent cleaning skills to maintain a tidy living space for the children.
– Compassionate demeanour with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with both children and parents.
– Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively while prioritizing children’s safety.
– First Aid certification or CPR training are assets.
– English language ability is required.
