Job Requirements:

Languages

·   English or French
Education

·  Minimum education: Secondary education

Experience

·       At least 1 year to less than 2 years of work as a cook or related field.

Duties:

·       Prepare and cook menu items, including gyros, wraps, rice bowls, salads, appetizers, and other Mediterranean-style dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.

·  Prepare and marinate meats, chicken, vegetables, sauces, and other ingredients for daily food service.
·  Operate grills, ovens, deep fryers, stovetops, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
·  Cook and assemble food orders according to customer requests and established portion sizes.
·  Ensure all food is prepared with consistent quality, taste, freshness, and presentation.
·  Monitor food temperatures and cooking times to ensure food safety and proper preparation.
·  Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen workstations, cooking equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.

·  Follow proper food handling, storage, refrigeration, and food rotation procedures

·  Check inventory levels and inform management when ingredients and kitchen supplies need to be replenished.

·   Receive and store food deliveries while checking the quality and freshness of ingredients.

·   Minimize food waste and maintain proper portion control.

·   Assist with daily kitchen opening, closing, and cleaning procedures.

·   Follow all applicable food safety, health, and workplace safety regulations.

·   Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining food quality and timely order preparation.

·   Coordinate with kitchen staff, cashiers, and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

·   Assist with menu preparation and other kitchen duties as assigned by management.
