Job Description:

– Wage: $27.00 / Hour

– Number of work hours: 30 – 40 hours per week

– Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

– Benefit: 4% gross salary or 10 days of paid vacation, extended medical insurance after 6 months of employment.

Job Duties:

Operate and drive two axles weighing less than 4,600 kg trucks to transport goods and materials mainly on local routes and short interurban routes.
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment and loading and unloading of cargo.
Drop off transported goods and materials to the designated location of business.
Track and record of transported goods and material.
Check and inspect goods and materials are secured properly in accordance with safety requirements.
Job Requirements:

–  Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

–  Experience: No formal experience is required as on-job training is provided. Experience is an asset.

–  Class 5 Driver’s License is required. (Class 1 or 3,

OR Class 5 with Air Brake Endorsement would be considered a strong asset)

–   A clean driving history of most recent 1 years is required.
