Job Description:

Employer: 21 Century Trading Inc.

Title: Wholesale Buyer

Work Location: 108-1875 Boxwood Rd, Nanaimo, BC V9S 5X9

Business Address: 108-187 Boxwood Rd, Nanaimo, BC V9S 5X9

Wage: $25.24 – $38.46 per hour (to be negotiated)

Number of work hours: 30 – 40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Benefit: 4% gross salary or 10 days of paid vacation, extended medical insurance after 6 months of employment

Job Duties:

–       Study market reports and sales promotion goods.

–       Choose and buy merchandise for resale.

–       Talk with main suppliers and negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms and transportation arrangements.

–       Maintain adequate stock levels by determining the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.

–       Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with suppliers.

–       Maintain stock levels by monitoring the distribution of merchandise.

 

Job Requirements:

The minimum education requirement is a secondary school.

At least 2-3 working experience in the retail or wholesale establishment is required.
