Overview

Tasks:

• Wash, peel and cut vegetables, fish, fruit and other ingredients
• Cook and mix rice
• Wrap and cut sushi
• Package take-out food
• Portion and wrap foods
• Assist with making party-tray, chicken-don and other food
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Handle and store cleaning products
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Sharpen kitchen knives
• Other duties as instructed by the owner

Working environment: Fast-paced environment; Handling heavy loads; Repetitive tasks; Standing for extended periods; Early Morning, On Call, Shift, Weekend

Requirements:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate; Basic English communication skill; 1-7 months experience; Food handler certificate; Being reliable and can work for at least two years; Hard-working; Own transportation; Valid driver license; Own car; Mandarin is an asset.

Salary: 15.2/hour plus bonus, 32-48 hours a week, vacation pay
