Overview

Akedo Showten, located in Langley B.C., is seeking two Assistant Cooks to join the team.
Permanent, full-time; $17.62 per hour; 30 to 40 hours per week. Plus bonus depending on work performance.

Standard 6-8 hours shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 9:30am to 10pm as required.

Duties:

Cooking everything on the menu;

Prepare Ramen ingredients and other Japanese food;

Inspecting ingredients for quality and freshness and supervising all food preparation;

Giving training to new cooking and kitchen staff on matters of hygiene, Japanese ramen techniques, and other matters.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of previous experience as a commercial cook;

Previous experience with Japanese ramen cuisine is an asset;

Japanese language ability is an asset;

English language ability required.
