Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Hours of Work: 30-40 hour per week

Vacant: 2

Benefits: 4% of gross salary for vacation remuneration or 10 days of paid vacation

Language: English

 

Duties:

–          Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair

–          Advice compatible hairstyle to client’s appearance

–          Provide basic treatment or advice treatment after analyzing the client’s condition

–          Apply Bleach, tints dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair

–          Shampoo and rinse the client’s hair

–          Take phone calls and confirm appointments

–          Perform hair extension

–          Keep track of supplies and inform stock for reordering

–          Available to use special machines or equipment for special perms such as digital perm, straight perm

 

Requirements:

–          Education: Completion of Secondary school is required

–          Experience: Completion of a two or three-year hairstyling apprenticeship program or a college or other program in hairstyling

Or,

At least 1-2 years of experience in the hairstyling industry is required

Trade Certification for hairstylists is mandatory.
