Aspen Hill Montessori Inc is a highly-reviewed early learning brand in West Calgary offering an immersive Montessori environment through two campuses. We are looking for an Early childhood supervisor with a Montessori diploma + Level 3 ECE to join our team and grow together!

Position: Early childhood supervisor (NOC 42202)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time; Day, 07:30 am to 17:30 pm
Hourly Wage: $19.00-22.00 (Additional wage top-up funding from Alberta)
Work Hours: 32 to 44 hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

·         Plans, organizes, directs and controls the day to day operations of the center

·         Responsible for ensuring that all relevant legislative requirements are met with 100% compliance

·         Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants

·         Motivates and leads staff through personal example regarding client relations, site cleanliness, program development, classroom leadership, health and safety practices, uniform standards, staff relations, and compliance with corporate programs

·         Recruits and selects qualified staff and oversees staff development

·         Supports early childhood educators in supervision and teaching within all classes in the Centre as required to balance lunch, breaks and outdoor time.

·         Ensures the site is ready for business with all necessary supplies and equipment

·         Maintains enrollment expectations through on-going communication with all families, accurate administration, agency promotion and hosting open houses

·         Promotes open communication and teamwork with all staff through personal example and use of positive employee relations techniques

·         Maintains positive community relations

·         Resolves parent complaints through excellence in customer service and adherence to Aspen Hill Montessori guidelines and efficient follow-up

·         Accurately performs administrative tasks in a timely manner

·         Performs other related assignments as required

 

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

·         College/CEGEP diploma or degree in early childhood

·         More than 2 years of experience working in a commercial setting with preschool age children

·         Level 3 Alberta ECE certificate in hand OR equivalency guaranteed to be granted before starting for newcomers to Canada based on your educational background

·         Montessori Teacher Certificate

·         Clear and fluent English, with a strong command of positive child management and engagement techniques with a large group

·         Obtained Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Food allergy and anaphylaxis training

·         Criminal record check and Vulnerable sector check

·         Team player, Reliability, Flexibility, Effective interpersonal skills, Excellent oral & written communication

–          Physically demanding, Attention to detail; Combination of sitting, standing, walking; Bending, crouching, kneeling; Manual dexterity
