Overview

We are looking for an enthusiatic person capable to work well within a team. The ideal candidate is entitled to legally work in Canada, pays great attention to detail, is a good listener, responsible, punctual and loyal. This is a physically demanding Job that sometimes could be challenging due ti the weather.

Main duties of the job:

• Load and unload construction materials, move material around within a construct,on srte Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades as required Mix, pour and spread concrete
• Assist tradespersons such as carpenters, roofers, glaziers and bricklayers within the construction site
• Assist heavy equipment operators by signaling and guide them while moving equipment Assist 1n aligning pipes
• Assist 1n excavating and insetting up and operating various drills
• Level and compact the soil ground using rake, shovel and mechanical compactors
• Assist in demolishing other constructions using prying bars and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials Remove rubble and other debris usmg rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows
• Operate pneumatic hammers as directed
• Provide maintenance to equipment such as mixers, compressors and pumps
• Clean upspills of chemicals or other contaminants, remove asbestos and other hazardous materials Direct traffic at or near construction sites
• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed

The contract is for 2 years, salary range is from $18.50 – $25 Canadian dollars per hour, based on experience and qualifications, 40 hours of work per week

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of expenence at construction sites
• CSO training at any level will be of significant advantage
• Health and safety certification as construction helper or similar would-be a plus
• Ideal candidate must have great communication skills m general but overall be a good listener
• Ideal candidate should also be attentive to detail, punctual and responsible
