About the job

We are currently seeking a self-motivated individual to join Black Crown as Cleaning Supervisor. This newly created role is a position that requires an experienced and confident person with excellent client service, strong communication in English, Spanish language as an asset, and solid organizational skills.

As Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for office functions related to supplies, other vendor management, the process of monitoring and controlling employee attendance and work schedules and maintaining contact and coordinating tasks with the accounting department and mailroom activities.

Responsibilities:

 

·        Tracks facilities service requests and ensures requests are completed within established timelines and quality standards.

·        Organize work schedules and track daily staff attendance.

·        Meets quality and deadline standards by the effective use of job scheduling practices.

·        Ensures that location is properly staffed by matching employee skills and equipment with production demands.

·        Ensures payroll accuracy by overseeing and correcting all time clock punches.

·        Conduct performance reviews with supervised cleaners.

·        Provide support of troubleshooting when occur performing certain cleaning duties.

·        Provides administrative support services to the organization.

·        Ensure monthly credit card purchases reconciliation are processed in a timely manner in the accounting software.

·        Facilitates resolution of issues concerning pricing, purchases, and invoicing by interacting and communicating with accounting department.

·        Clearly communicates job expectations to cleaners by counseling and advising, to increase their work output and quality.

Education & Experience:

Required 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent.
Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration required.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel. Proficiency in utilizing Sage 50 accounting software will be an asset.
English language proficiency, both in written and verbal communication.
Spanish language will be an asset.
Qualifications & Skills:

Proven organizational and analytical skills, allowing you to effectively prioritize tasks, arrange schedules and meet deadlines.
Excellent typing skills and attention to detail in data entry and record keeping.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Utilize your knowledge of accounting to enhance our team’s capabilities.
Works well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints.
Professional conduct and commitment to results.
Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skill.
Excellent interpersonal skill with ability to work with a group and/or independently as a hands-on team player.
Ability to deliver information and communicate clearly and respectably with the accounting department, team members and clients.
Self-motivated with the drive to take on new challenges and learn new knowledge and skills.
Some physical effort is required which may involve long periods of standing, walking, lifting, or moving items or similar activities.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.

Schedule: 8-hour shift Monday to Friday

Work Location: in person.

North Whitby, ON L1M 1W6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
