Overview

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Counter Attendant to join our team. As a Counter Attendant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. If you have a passion for the food industry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Wage: $19.00 – $20.00/hour

Working hours: 30-40/week. May have to work on holidays, weekends, shift, day and evening.

Tasks:

  • Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
  • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and fl atware
  • Place dishes in storage area
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used
  • Package take-out food
  • Portion and wrap foods
  • Prepare, heat and fi nish simple food items
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Take customers’ orders
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances andequipment
  • Handle and store cleaning products
  • Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish fl oors
  • Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit

Job requirements:

Completion of Secondary Education is an asset but not required

1 year of working experience in a commercial kitchen is an asset
