Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

 

Hours 40 hours per week (Flexible Hours – must be available for some evening & weekend shifts)

 

Salary: $22.60 per hour

Education: Secondary School (preferred)

 

Experience: Previous retail sales supervision experience: 1 year (required)

Job Description:

 

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Retail Sales Supervisor to join our team. As a Retail Sales Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail establishment. Your responsibilities will include supervising and coordinating sales staff and cashiers, assigning tasks, maintaining inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

 

Main Duties:

 

– Maintaining a welcoming store environment

– General store maintenance and cleanliness

– Ensure the store’s visual standards and image

– Working in a team environment

– Supervise and coordinate sales staff and cashiers

– Opening and closing the store

– Recruitment, hiring and training of new staff members

– Staff members supervision

– Monitor and report on staff’s performance

– Human resources & conflict resolution support

– Prepare sales reports and track sales data

– Regulatory compliance

– Inventory management & ordering

– Assign sales workers to duties

– Prepare work schedules

– Authorize refunds and returns of merchandise

– Handle customer service, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages

– If required, support managerial duties such as managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries

 

Requirements:

 

– Age requirement: 19+

– Must have valid Selling It Right certification

– Strong verbal communication skills

– Strong attention to detail in maintaining regulatory compliance

– Retail or cannabis retail experience is preferred

– Strong base of cannabis and cannabis product knowledge

– Some cannabis industry and regulatory knowledge

– Sales and Point of Sale transactions knowledge preferred
