Overview

Our company is currently seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. As a Bookkeeper with us, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. In addition to your bookkeeping duties, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to various projects and initiatives by gathering relevant data and information and supporting the HR functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in bookkeeping or related field
  • Experience in project management and human resources management is a plus.
  • Work Language: English
  • Asset Language: Mandarin

Tasks:

  • Utilize both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems to accurately maintain and balance various accounts.
  • Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare trial balance of books to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare cheques for payrolls, taxes, utility bills, and other expenses, to ensure timely payments.
  • Prepare tax returns and complete tax remittance forms, pension contribution forms, workers’ compensation forms, and other documents as required by governments.
  • Prepare financial statements and various statistical and accounting reports to provide insights into the financial health of the organization.
  • Assist in gathering relevant data and information for various projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain manual and computerized filing systems to ensure easy access to relevant information.
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations by ordering office supplies, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the smooth functioning of office equipment.
  • Provide training support to the finance team and HR team as needed, and collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Work Term: Permanent (full-time)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: $27.50 per hour
