Job Description:

Languages: English

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and logistics field

Other Languages: Mandarin language skills are considered an asset for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

Tasks:

  • Coordinate global logistics and documentation for incoming shipments to facilitate customs clearance.
  • Organize deliveries in collaboration with site management.
  • Transport materials to various construction sites across Canada.
  • Conduct quantity counts and verify specifications from Architectural Drawings of construction materials.
  • Prepare and draft quotations using templates for final review.
  • Collaborate with designers and project managers to ensure the submission of accurate drawings.
  • Supervise, plan, assign, and review the work of clerks engaged in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, maintaining inventories, processing purchasing transactions, coordinating production, dispatching crews, scheduling transportation, and other related activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security policies, procedures, standards, and regulations, and contribute to their enhancement.
  • Address and resolve various problems and related complaints, implementing corrective measures and process improvements as necessary.
  • Manage overseas staff in Asia and provide training in job duties.
  • Negotiate with vendors and requisition necessary supplies and materials.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of computer systems and arrange maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Conduct performance reviews of supervised workers.
  • May perform the same duties as workers under supervision.
