Plumber’s Helper

Destiny Mechanical Ltd. located at 8645 – 112A Street, Delta, BC V4C 4Z4 is looking for 2 Plumber Helper to join them ASAP.

Wage: $23.00 to $25.00 hourly

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Term of employment 35-40 hrs./Week

Language: English

Job Location: Various Locations in the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley

Experience would be an asset but training is provided.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast paced environment, tight deadlines,

Repetitive tasks and physically demanding

Work Site Environment: Dusty

 

Job Requirements:

·        No education required.

·        Experience would be an asset but training is provided.

·        Must be a good team-player.

·        Ability to work under pressure and in all weather conditions.

·        Ability to perform physically demanding work – standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling and climbing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction

·        Make minor plumbing repairs such as unclogging toilets or drains, replacing
faucets, and fixing leaking pipes, install garbage disposals and replace toilet wax rings

·        Assist main Plumber with plumbing system installations at new home or commercial
construction, replace water heaters and install tubs/showers.

·        Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing systems by cleaning drains, checking
water heaters, running tests on pumps, etc.

·        Clean up job sites by clearing of tools and debris during a job and after its completion.

·        Clean and pile salvaged materials.
