Donmar Foods is into the manufacture of quality dry powdered blends for use in Commercial and Institutional Kitchens. They also offer a variety of Spices and Spice Blends.

 

Role

The Production Worker is responsible for operating several different pieces of equipment on our production line. Performing a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing dry powder food products.

 

Responsibilities

– Safe and efficient operation of equipment.
– Follow all company Health & Safety policies and SOPs.
– Wear all PPE required and work in a safe manner.
– Participate in all company mandated training in good faith.
– Come to work prepared (both mentally and materially) to work in a variety of environments.
– Maintain accurate production records.
– Complete appropriate forms legibly and clearly.
– Complete prestart equipment checks.
– Follow standard operating procedures.
– Lift and inspect raw materials for damage or contamination.
– Move finished goods off the filling line onto pallets.
– Work cooperatively with a team to achieve production targets.
– Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
– Abide to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards.
– Report all Health & Safety issues immediately.
– Maintain good housekeeping in all assigned areas.
– Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

– Forklift License, preferred.
– Standard First Aid Certification/CPR Required (non-negotiable)
– Food Handler Certification Required (non-negotiable)
– Knowledge of OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards (non-negotiable)
– Basic Math Skills

 

Work conditions and physical capabilities

– Be able to lift 50lbs unassisted.
– Manual dexterity, hand eye coordination, repetitive tasks.
– Combination of sitting, standing, walking
– Ability to stand for long periods of time.
– Bending, crouching, kneeling
– Attention to detail.
– Basic trouble-shooting skills.
– Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral.

 

Personal suitability

– Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

 

Salary: $19.10 – $22 per hour

 

Expected hours: 37.5 hrs per week

Monday to Friday – 7:30 am to 3 pm
