Job Duties:
· Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas;
· Report equipment or facility issues to the supervisor promptly.
· Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
· Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
· Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
· Report safety hazards or incidents promptly.
· Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt;
· Assist tradespersons in construction activities;
· Assist in drilling and blasting rock at construction sites;
· Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials;
· Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy and sanitary work environment.
· Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
Working Conditions:
· Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.
· Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.
· Repetitive task.
· Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
