Overview
Job title- In-home caregiver.
Terms of employment- This job is for a full-time position (40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. French or English.
Salary- Wage is Quebec minimum wage as prescribed by law. Wage offered is $14.25 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.
Location- LiUr… lives in the city of Montreal, in Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The city bus and metro are easily accessible and close by. The major intersection is Vendome / Sherbrooke St West
Duties may include:
1- The employer has eight children ages 20, 19, 17, 16, 14, 12, 9 and 6 years old. This Job is to help care for the youngest children
2- Supervision of children ( who are 13 and under) when parents are not at home
3- Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise
4- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
5- Take children to and from school
6- Plan, prepare and serve meals for children. Kitchen clean-up is also required
7- General housework that will include doing laundry and ironing
8- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment
Qualifications:
1- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
2- Must have at least one year of work related experience as a caregiver.
3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
