Overview
Job title- In-home caregiver.
Terms of employment- This job is for a full-time position (40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Job starts July 1, 2023.
Language Required: English.
Salary- Wage offered is $17.00 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the prevailing wage rate changes.
Location- RaBh… lives in Nepean, in Ottawa Ontario region. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The major intersection is Barrhaven Creek and Prince of Wales drive.
Duties may include:
1- This job is to help with the care and supervision of a 13 year old child.
2- Supervision of children when parents are not at home,
3- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents,
4- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development,
5- Plan, prepare and serve meals for children. Kitchen clean-up is also required,
6- General housework that will include doing laundry and ironing of school uniforms.
7- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment
8- Care also needed occasionally for 80 year old man. He is independent but at times needs companionship wen he goes for a walk.
Qualifications:
1- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education
2- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
