Overview
In-home Caregiver needed for one school aged child (5). $17.17-$19.00 per hour depending on experience for a 42.5 hour workweek. 2 days off per week. Saturday/Sunday off. Minimum one year of relevant working professional child care experience required. Equivalent of a Canadian High School diploma is required. Overtime occasionally may be needed and would be paid at time and a half. Job hours 7:00am to 8:30pm. Mid day break while child is at school. Job located in North York (Yonge & Sheppard). English language spoken and written is necessary. Work to take place in employers home.
Supervise and care for one school aged child in home, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; instruct in persona/oral hygiene; tend to the emotional well-being of child & support their social development; discipline according to the methods requested; organize & participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading & outings. Homework supervision. Light housekeeping duties for child. Meal preparation for child. Walk to and from school, programs etc.
Reading, good communication, decision making skills and organization are essential.
