Overview
In-Home Caregiver/Nanny needed for 2 young children in Toronto (4 yrs, NB) $17.17-$19.00 per hour for a 40 hour work week, salary depends on experience. Overtime may be required from 45-48 hours and would be paid at 1.5 x per hour. Two days off per week on two consecutive weekdays, 7am-7pm mid day breaks. One year of relevant professional childcare experience required. Minimum of Equivalent Canadian High School diploma required. Job located in Toronto(Bayview & York Mills). English language spoken and written, required. Work to take place in employers home.
Supervise and care for children in employer’s residence. Plan, cook meals and feed children. Light housekeeping for children. Oversee children’s activities. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Instruct children in personal hygiene. Diaper changing and bottle preparation for baby. Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development. Discipline children according to the methods requested. Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings. Walk to and from school, activities, programs.
Good communication and decision making skills are essential. MUST BE FLEXIBLE
