Overview

Food Factory Kitchen & Catering Ltd. is currently hiring a dynamic and energetic Sous Chef for Permanent, full-time position to join their team as soon as possible.

Main duties:

·        Oversee the activities of specialized chefs, cooks, and kitchen personnel, providing guidance and supervision.

·        Demonstrate innovative cooking techniques and introduce new equipment to the kitchen staff.

·        Possess the ability to plan menus and manage the procurement of food and kitchen supplies.

·        Possess the ability to plan menus and manage the procurement of food and kitchen supplies.

·        Proficient in preparing and cooking a variety of meals, including pastries, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables, and various, meat, poultry, and fish dishes.

·        Responsible for crafting decorative food displays for special events.

·        Provide instruction to cooks on food preparation, cooking methods, garnishing and food presentation.

 

·        Requirements:

·         Completion of Secondary School is required.

·         Completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety will be an asset.

·         Minimum one year of experience is required.

 

Salary:              $21.50/hour
