Wage: $ 17.50-$18.00 per hour for 30-40 hours a week

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes

·         Cook complete meals/menus as ordered

·         Slice, cut, tenderize and skewer meat and vegetables

·         Braise and grill meat and vegetables

·         Participate in developing menus, determining the size of food portions when needed

·         Check the quality of raw and cooked foods

·         Ensure that inventory of supplies is completed regularly, and items required are in-stock

·         Estimate expected food consumption and requirement

·         Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen

·         Train kitchen staff and helpers

 

Position Requirements and Qualifications

Ÿ   Completion of high school education

Ÿ   Previous work experience (more than 7 months) in commercial kitchen settings

Ÿ   Familiarity with Asian/Japanese Cuisine

Ÿ   Organized; Team player;

Ÿ   Fast paced environment, Physically demanding, Work under pressure, Standing for extended periods
