Job Description:

– Position: Retail Buyer

– Employer: Kairos Restaurant Ltd. dba Galiano Garage Groceries & Liquor Agency

– Business Address: 14 Madrona Rd. Galiano Island, BC, V0N 1P0

– Work Location: Same as above

– Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time

– Wage: $25.24 per hour

– Working Hours: 30-40 hours per week

– Benefit: 4% of salary for vacation remuneration or 10 days of paid vacation.

– Language: English

– Vacancy: 1

 

Job Duties:

– Procure goods for sale in retail setting.

– Analyze the needs of the store and decide on the volume and variety of products to buy.

– Keep up with market trends by reviewing reports, publications, and promotional materials.

– Choose products that align with the specific requirements of the store.

– Foster ongoing relationships with suppliers to secure reliable sources of products.

– Maintain stock levels by monitoring the distribution of merchandise.

 

Job Requirements:

– Education: Completion of high school is required.

– Experience: At least 1 to 2 years of experience in retail or wholesale establishment is required.
