Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications equipment repair and understanding of two-way radio theory and communications systems.

Job Duties:

Repair and provide technical support for VHF/UHF and 800/900 MHz analog and digital systems, mobile and portable subscriber equipment, conventional, trunking, Edacs/ Mototrbo /ltr, paging and microwave systems. Installation, maintenance, and repair of base systems, repeaters, remote controls, multiplexers, antenna systems, microwave systems, battery backup systems, and solar power systems. Install and maintain dispatch console equipment. Diagnose and repair public address systems, and BDA systems.

·       Install, maintain and provide technical support and service of wireless communications equipment such as: UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz analog and digital systems. Operating mobile, portable radio equipment, dispatch consoles, and microwave systems, using both conventional and trunked radio technologies.

·       Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and resolve wireless communication equipment problems with customers in a positive and efficient manner.

·       Repair customer equipment by replacing defective modules or components through standard troubleshooting procedures and practices.

·       Ability to diagnosis and repair public address systems and BDA systems.

·       Recommend appropriate hardware and peripheral equipment that meets customer requirements.

·       Provide hands-on and oversight of communications equipment and peripheral hardware installation such as base stations, repeaters, mobile devices, portable devices, wireless broadband devices, and cctv equipment.

Working Conditions:

·       Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.

·       Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.

·       Repetitive task.

·       Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
