A line cook is responsible for preparing food items according to the menu and recipe specifications. They must work efficiently and maintain a clean and organized station.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Prepare food items according to recipe specifications
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow food safety standards and procedures
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation
Monitor food levels and communicate with the kitchen manager to ensure the availability of necessary ingredients
Adhere to portion control guidelines
Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
Comply with all health and safety regulations
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment for extended periods of time standing on your feet in varying temperatures from 35 degrees celsius to 4 degrees.
Handling sharp, extremely hot or frozen items, liquids, tools and accessories
Bending, twisting, kneeling and hunching over work spaces
Repetitive motions for extended periods of time
