Job Title: Carpenter

Employer: One Paramount Construction Ltd.

Work Location: within Metro Vancouver

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Vacancy:7

Hours of Work: 30~40hrs per week

Wage: $30.00/hour

Benefit: 4% of vacation pay or 10 days of paid vacation per year

Language: English

 

l  Job Duties:

-Prepare the layout of the project.

-Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions.

-Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall; join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.

-Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squires, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.

-Build stairs, mantles, and furniture; install cabinets and molding.

-Repair or build furniture.

-Install partitions, doors, and windows.

-Renovate houses or buildings.

 

l  Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of Secondary School

Experience: 3~4 years of related experience OR

Completion of a three to four-year apprenticeship program

OR

A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses
